The groups based system is the core of Blogtronix. The BTX platform offers one fully functional main group and an infinite number of subgroups. If the organization or need is small, the main parent group may be suitable. But larger or growing organizations prefer to use many sub-groups to manage their initiatives, projects, and users.
Blogs are an essential tool to online group communication. Using blogs, users can post about projects, issues or new technology, and upload documents, images, audio, or video (or even record them live into the post with a mic/webcam). Each blog incorporates tags and categories so that users can find what they want using one of three different search methods, including the standard keyword search.
Effective project collaboration continues to be elusive for many organizations; so Blogtronix developed wiki capabilities on its BTX platform. The BTX wiki allows users to share an online whiteboard where multiple revisions of a document can be managed.
The BTX social network, like the rest of the platform, was designed with the Enterprise in mind. Each user has his or her own profile where personal and professional information can be added. User attributes include industry, specialty, alma mater, division, and interests, and are fully indexed and searchable by the system.
The BTX document management system gives users a place to upload and share their Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or other documents or presentations. It is a file-based system, and each file has tags and descriptions so users can easily find them. Like the wiki, documents can also be locked or shared with specified groups of users.
The open API allows third party applications to integrate with BTX Financial’s application layer. You can easily integrate single sign-on access, and exchange user data and online content such as blogs, wikis, and video.
